Sasha Altukhov & Cheyenne Murillo

Sasha, originally from Ukraine, started dancing when he was 10 years old. He won 2 National championships as a Junior and Youth competitor while in Ukraine. He also was ranked 3rd in the under 21 world championship and won the world Latin cup. At the age of 19, Sasha relocated to the United States. Since then, he became a runner up at the US National Amateur championship and represented the United States in numerous world championships. In 2011, Sasha decided to turn professional. Shortly after turning professional he won the US National Professional Rising Star Latin. He now has won 2 US National pro rising star Latin titles with two different partners.

Prior to dancing together, Cheyenne trained in all styles of dance at Center Stage Performing Arts, one of the most prestigious dance studios in the United States and won multiple national titles. At the age of 17, Cheyenne decided to focus solely on Latin ballroom dance. She began her partnership with Sasha as a ProAm student and became a 2X US & World ProAm Latin Champion. Cheyenne has also appeared on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" as a professional dancer.

In December 2014, Sasha and Cheyenne began their professional journey together and have enjoyed immediate success. Sasha and Cheyenne have placed in every US final in pro rising star and have placed 7th in all major competitions in England. Most recently, Sasha and Cheyenne won the Ohio Star Ball and placed 3rd at the International Championships in England.
